Last week, the inaugural Micro Arctic Climates MACS conference at SPRI provided an opportunity to explore how Arctic communities can utilise scientific and cultural data to better understand the changes that may occur in their regions.

Come and see our library display curated by two of our Museum volunteers, Dora & Freya. The display explores the development of Victorian Alpine exploration, the first successful ascent of the Matterhorn, and the history of wood engravings, illustrated through the work of Edward Whymper.

The Polar Museum has been closed this week for essential mantainance. However, we're very pleased to announce that we are now able to open a day earlier than planned on Saturday 9th August!
