Come and see our library display curated by two of our Museum volunteers, Dora & Freya. The display explores the development of Victorian Alpine exploration, the first successful ascent of the Matterhorn, and the history of wood engravings, illustrated through the work of Edward Whymper.

Our upcoming exhibition, 'Through Ice & Fire', opens on 12 September at the Polar Museum. A fusion of contemporary art and cutting-edge Antarctic research, the exhibition connects geology and our industrial past with the science of glaciers, ice sheets and the climate.
