No better or worse than anyone. Just plodding on.
Sensible and organised and making the world better. Leaving the EU? Genius🙄
It’s time for THE charger.

Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging new mobile electronic devices in the EU.

It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need!

Yet another BBC breakfast moan. Hosts desperate to get Kelvin Fletcher to moan about how hard done to farmers are. He was just decent and polite and declined to speak for all farmers. The disappointment was palpable ‘do you agree with Jeremy Clarkson?’

Guy from British Parking Association on BBC Breakfast being typical spokesman for organisation that acts in an unacceptable and aggressive way.

Disingenuous and awful organisation that should be done away with.

(Take your pick which organisation or organisations I am referring to)

Stealing this policy from tonight. I commend this person’s policy.
I regret to inform you that I have read before bed every night (substantial amounts! In physical books!) since I banished my phone from the bedroom

Has the world always felt like this? When I was a kid there was the threat of nuclear annihilation. Before that my parents feared another world war. Now the planet is boiling.

This is not to say we do not need to take action. We must. But we must do so in the knowledge that angst does not help?
Why bother reading an apocalyyptic novel when you can just look out the window.

We can rebuild the NHS without privatisation. We do not need to involve private companies in the delivery of patient-facing public healthcare.

The only people who benefit from NHS privatisation are private company shareholders 🚨

What I find weird about this place is that some folk want to post stuff (for others to agree and validation?)

Then, when folk disagree or comment at all they act as if this is a surprise or in some way strange behaviour.

A place of opinions and discussion where discussion is frowned upon.

Odd.

After watching Gavin and Stacey last night thinking about how hangovers in fiction operate differently to real life.
Fiction.
Rough morning, then you feel better, drink again.
Real life after forty.
24 to 48 hours of existential horror. Heartburn. Nausea at thought of alcohol for a week.

Even if you don’t have kids stick this on. Will hold up against any musical- Gene Wilder Wonka, Oliver or anything Disney did @timminchin.bsky.social - what an effort that was.
UK! #MatildaMovie will be on the telly BOXING DAY at 5:40pm!
You can watch on BBC One or on BBC iPlayer.

Matilda the Musical - that’s a belter of a film.

Was just minding my own business after the football on the telly and then found myself engrossed.

Did not expect that. Is there anything Emma Thompson isn’t good in?

People love being angry.
It’s an addictive state of mind.
Be aware. Be engaged.
But seek happy at all times.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you’re finding things tough because of weird, old, traumatic dynamics in your family this Christmas, you’re not on your own. Lots of people feel like this. It’s not unkind to have boundaries, and please don’t feel guilty if you’re maintaining yours x

Did we learn nothing from the last Trump presidency?

Hunners of bluster and like most bullies best dealt with by saying ‘whatever’.

He won’t do a tenth of the crap he spouts. He’s good for the media and a boring windbag.

Don’t rise to his crap. Your life will be better.

Medical students in Scotland don’t have the loans so be thankful for that but this is not how we should be treating those who we need the most.

@jonsopel1.bsky.social - ‘Is Scotland responsible for Brexit?’ - this pos tabsolutely sums up your podcast and how truly badly the London media helped keep Scotland down through laziness, arrogance and ineptitude.

Merry Christmas. Please try a new career.
Not quite what they're saying, but having listened to this last night, they clearly don't understand the referendum or what drives our movement. Very disappointing, England orientated, superficial discussion showing nothing other than how heads up their arse, stuck in London bubble they all are.

This. This is why we need to protect the NHS from those who seek to profit from it.

It is everything.

Is there a more vacuous role in the universe than ‘television royal correspondent’?

I get the swimming lifeguard at the Olympics is pointless but theoretically a spectator could attempt to end it all mid-session when the swimmer they heavily bet on lost.

However, royal telly person?

The list of things the SNP have delivered to make life better for people in Scotland is vast.

And yet BBC Scotland - ‘Ferries, ferries, ferries’

Weird thing is, how many folk will be considering independence or voting for someone else and think ‘oh god can’t vote SNP - those ferries eh?’
The SNP delivered the £1.35 billion Queensferry Crossing. The crossing is the longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world and was delivered £245 million below budget. The SNP working for Scotland.
