Painting some embroidery hoops so I can frame a couple of cross stitch projects that I finished stitching but have been languishing for ages because actually completing things is one of my very real struggle points

I took a needle-turn applique class at Quilting Mayhem in Snohomish, WA today and it was absolutely fantastic. It's been ages since I've been in a crafting class (since I'm usually vending at shows) and I'd forgotten how much I love being in that kind of setting and learning new things 💗🪡

Maybe one day I'll post a photo of coloring progress without Gomez helping, but today is not that day

I've been feeling incredibly frustrated with the world this week so I've picked up my Hyrule map cross stitch project so I have something to stab repeatedly while also feeling productive. I'm excited to add bright blue today after all the green, brown, and grey

Another day, another coloring book page, and another awkward attempt in forcing myself to be random

I was telling a friend at lunch that I really want more cats and crafts in my Bluesky feed, so here's Gomez and a coloring book page for yours 🐈‍⬛ ✍️

Another exercise in pushing through perfectionism and just finishing the damn thing. Page 1 of Satisfying Patterns coloring book using Ohuhu markers and and a card from my Color Cube. I used a random number generator to pick my color card so I didn't have to decide on a pallette 😜

Yesterday I channeled my anxiety into a new squiggles drawing. Partway through I switched gears and declared this piece a rough draft, but instead of chucking it I kept going and finished it up today. Was it what I planned? No. Did it turn out like I wanted? No. Am I glad I finished it anyway? Yes.

Nothing like a slowly growing stack of #EnglishPaperPiecing hexies I can play with to make me feel like I've actually done something with my day. I'm spending my evening basting hexies and listening to The Mystery Guest by Nita Prose and trying to soothe my frazzled nerves from a stressful day

Feeling absolutely drained from my emotional bandwidth spread so thin over the past couple weeks, so I'm spending the day looking for a win in this coloring page wall calendar. Just a few flowers left on the February page. Gomez is here with support and snuggles, as always 😻

Today was the first time I was able to comfortably lift yarn boxes (30+ lbs) since tearing my rotator cuff last March and breaking a bone in my right hand in September. This was a huuuuge step towards feeling like my shoulder is close to "normal," but I clearly need to keep working on strength 😅💪🎉

Spending my afternoon snuggled up under my quilt from @charansachar.bsky.social with Gomez (not pictured because he tunneled under the quilt and is curled up on my legs) while I slowly make progress on my epic #EnglishPaperPiecing hexies project. Of course I'm adding dragons in honor of Onyx Storm 🖤

I just finished listening to Onyx Storm. I've never had that strong of an emotional reaction to a book. Now I'm super bummed I can't immediately jump into the non-existent book 4, but am also relieved I have ample time to let my heart heal before giving Rebecca Yarros a chance to shred it again.

I have been overwhelmed by starting over with a new social media platform. My brain has been saying "if I'm going to have a presence here, then my first post should be meaningful or something." Instead, here is Gomez sitting on my paper while I try to color because progress is better than perfect.
