If you ask a US govt employee who is currently furloughed,

"How's your 'vacation'?"

You might get a deadpan response like this:

"Never better. I just finished writing the third book of my new fantasy trilogy, I've mastered Mandarin, and tomorrow I'm running off with the circus."

Spurious? 🤔

This is exactly what I would have predicted: the more you clean the more you dream about just getting away from it all.

Lately I've been hyping the benefits of eating dried grapes.

It's all about raisin awareness.
three quick ways you can do your part to make bsky more fun and friendly:

1) post more jokes!

2) post more music!

3) post more photos!

it’s that easy lol. sorry to say “be fun” but i am saying that.

because to be honest, in a world this gloomy, we need fun!!!

Can I just be vulnerable for a second on main? I feel so unsafe and on edge all the time since Laura Loomer made her comment about feeding 65 million "illegals" to alligators.

Not because she said it so unabashedly, or because she said it at all and that signifies a completely collapse into fascism

My biggest worry is that I won't be able to keep my promise to each of my students to see them through their academic journeys.
I wrote to one of the best government climate scientists I know, and jokingly asked if he's been fired.

The fact that our best scientists, even if they haven't been fired, cannot focus on work due to mental strain, hurts us all.
