A place to come together and talk about all things soccer from a fan and societal perspective. Will be looking into stories surrounding NWSL, MLS and both US national teams. Drop us a line and let us know what you want to hear about!
FIFA announced that every game for the World Cup will have a three minute water break at the 22 minute mark of each half.
I will propose that the fans should get a water break as well. Just turn the sprinklers towards the fans and put them on full blast.

Tufts wins the D3 championship with an incredible game tying goal with only 4 seconds remaining and then gets the golden goal in OT. One of the craziest finishes you will ever see. Well worth a watch!

Most people have probably seen that the NWSL rejected Rodman’s contract with the Spirit saying it violates the CBA. NWSLPA has filed a grievance. If Trin wins this, I think commissioner Berman will be out of a job. She says she’s doing all she can to keep her in NWSL but this action says otherwise.

Part of me is sad that I won’t be able to watch the draw because I’ll be on a flight. Another part of me says, “wait, I’m going to miss more sucking up to POTUS and a bunch of guys pulling balls out of bins…I’m good.” #overhype #itsgettinreal

Michele Kang continues to invest in women’s sports. Truly is amazing to see what she is doing with her vast wealth and how she is creating more opportunities for women and young girls.

Bay FC named Emma Coates as the new coach. Beyond her impressive resume with England’s U-23 team, she is now the fourth woman to be an active coach with the NWSL (Laura Harvey - Seattle, Bev Yanez - Louisville, Filipa Patão - Boston). This is a step in the right direction, but more are needed.

I hope to explore this more but this podcast from ECNL was fascinating to hear them discuss the arguments for smaller sides in youth soccer. There are lots of logistical reasons that would make this really challenging but it’s worth considering and thinking of how youth practice. Give it a listen!

Not a surprise but @chicagostars.com have decided to part ways with USWNT legend goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher. Having already retired from international play, this could be the end of her remarkable career. Well done SecDef. #rushmoreofGK

Looks like Michael Bradley will continue following in his dad’s footsteps and will become the next head coach for NY Red Bulls. Not may star athletes make good transitions into coaching but Bradley already has some impressive steps to becoming a MLS manager. Plus he’s bald so bonus points there!

This is quite an impressive list of players to get a debut with the USWNT this year. Hard to believe that only a few will make the World Cup team in 2027. Goes to show the unreal depth this team has.

Great sign of the continued rise in popularity of women’s sports. Not only did more than one million people tune in, it was closer to 1.2 million!

Portland Thorns have reportedly fired their head coach, Rob Gale. This after the team finished in third and made it to the semifinals. He’s only been the head coach since summer 2024. This makes no sense right now so wondering if there is more to the story.

MLS semis are set. Vancouver heads to sunny San Diego and NYCFC travels to face Miami. MLS is probably hoping for Messi v Muller in the finals but San Diego making it in their first year would be amazing too. If NYCFC wins it all, would be the first time MLS and NWSL champs are from same city.

Happy for Gotham FC winning the championship. I think it’s quite a stretch to say how amazing it is that they were the 8 seed though. Look at their roster! They are stacked. The main reason they didn’t have a stronger regular season were injuries. They will be good for years to come.

I've been trying to get an overall understanding about how youth soccer works in the US. Needless to say, its SUPER confusing. I'm hoping to do enough research that I can draft an article that will help clarify. In the meantime, this video from Harrison Szep does a good job explaining the top tiers.

USWNT coach Emma Hayes just dropped the names for the last camp of the year. Of the 26 players invited, 20 are playing in NWSL (7 in the championship game this weekend). Excited to see Jaelin Howell get a nod. Also a couple of first time callups as well. #end2025withbangers

After seeing the USMNT play the best game in a long time and dominate a top 20 country in a 5-1 win over Uruguay. Berhalter’s goal was amazing and the camera angle showed how much bend he put on that rocket. #goaloftheyear
