Bay FC named Emma Coates as the new coach. Beyond her impressive resume with England’s U-23 team, she is now the fourth woman to be an active coach with the NWSL (Laura Harvey - Seattle, Bev Yanez - Louisville, Filipa Patão - Boston). This is a step in the right direction, but more are needed.

MLS semis are set. Vancouver heads to sunny San Diego and NYCFC travels to face Miami. MLS is probably hoping for Messi v Muller in the finals but San Diego making it in their first year would be amazing too. If NYCFC wins it all, would be the first time MLS and NWSL champs are from same city.

USWNT coach Emma Hayes just dropped the names for the last camp of the year. Of the 26 players invited, 20 are playing in NWSL (7 in the championship game this weekend). Excited to see Jaelin Howell get a nod. Also a couple of first time callups as well. #end2025withbangers

VAMOS!!! Curaçao becomes the smallest country to ever qualify for the World Cup after tying Jamaica 0-0 to win the group. In extra time, a penalty was awarded to Jamaica but reversed by VAR. The Blue Wave advance but Jamaica can still qualify.

What do you think of the new Boston Legacy crest? I wasn’t sure at first how a swan and Legacy match up but the more I think about it, the more I like it. Kits could be awesome.

Brilliant: improvement over current home kit. The star pattern looks good, probably better up close.
Heartbeat: LOVE it, want it, wear it all the time! Probably in my top 5 ever.

Here are my predictions for this weekend’s NWSL games. Overall, I’m 10-5-6 on the year. SD over KC at home is a tough call but I think SD is gonna bring it. Orlando will continue dominance but the Reign at home on turf could pull a surprise.

After an abysmal week 2, my picks for week 3 were much more akin to my kids' picks for the NCAA Men's Bracket (got all 4 final four teams). I'll 4-1-2 anytime! Overall on the year: 10-5-6!
