Has anyone tried scanning color film with a monochrome camera sensor and an RGB light source, taking a scan of each red, green, and blue channel and then combining like you would a trichrome photo?

Finally got around to getting a roll of phoenix developed from November. First roll I shot of the film stock and it's fun! Will definitely have to get some practice with it though, has some quirks.
