My thoughts exactly. I thought maybe that's the point, maybe Rival's got a savior complex or something & we were gonna have to knock em down the peg, but it just didn't happen. It's treated like it's all fine. Also the debt thing was really glossed over. They're lucky Corbeau is a decent guy
Outside of that, Taunie/Urbain start off as this uber-positive person just trying to do right for someone they care about then transform into, realistically, a strangely obsessive character when it comes to their sense of duty
