Yes @feargalsharkey.bsky.social @elnoracornstalk.bsky.social We remember it well. Great publicity for our SOS campaign. We are still no further forward though and @yorkshirewater.bsky.social still polluting into rivers in NY and demanding 41% increase in water costs over 5 years for the privilege!
Good to see you, Keri; and here's the admirable Feargal up North with @saveourswale.bsky.social last year. Excellent to hear him in Ambridge too! #TheArchers

Well said @labourlewis.bsky.social together with @peopleswater.bsky.social @compassoffice.bsky.social
@sascampaigns.bsky.social @cleanilkley.bsky.social
and a growing number of individuals and groups we are going to make this a campaign that cannot be ignored.
📣 Clive Lewis: “This is about the maintenance of a model that was never built to serve the public. But here’s the irony. The greed of the water industry has cracked open the door—and through it—we glimpse an opportunity. An opportunity to shatter the myth of water privatisation’s inevitability.” 👏
I just made the case in Parliament for bringing an end to the failed experiment of water privatisation.

Keep up the good work @peopleswater.bsky.social @cleanilkley.bsky.social With your help we'll get people to rise up and demand the change we need @labourlewis.bsky.social @compassoffice.bsky.social with everyone on board we'll make the change happen. This is about the future we want to see
The Peoples Commission Day One we learnt
⭐️ Change is possible. So many examples...
⭐️ Bills are higher under privatisation and lower in public ownership, and water quality is better
⭐️ The Public has to be at the centre of all decision-making. Our water our future

Thanks @peopleswater.bsky.social @cleanilkley.bsky.social for fantastic info yesterday on how people in France, Germany and the Netherlands took back control of their water. It's time for change in the UK #peopleswater #time4change Speak Up here:

Great news! Tomorrow @labourlewis.bsky.social's Water Bill will have its first debate on 28th March. This is our unmissable chance to put public ownership of water back on the table. Ask your MP to be there and back the Bill: actionnetwork.org/letters/ask-...
Ask your MP to attend my Water Bill debate
After years of bill hikes, shareholder pay-outs, and pollution, it couldn't be clearer that privatisation has created a crisis in our water system. We can't leave the future of this critical natio...

We're getting ready here @saveourswale.bsky.social @thenortherneco.bsky.social to apply. Concerned at the 'too polluted to protect' notion which could prevent some applications from going forward.

Thanks @thenortherneco.bsky.social We are indeed angry!

It seems impossible to hold these people to account. There is a basic problem with our democracy that this can be allowed to happen and we are powerless to stop it.
Well we knew it was coming but at 41%, the increase from Yorkshire Water is far bigger than expected. Here's the reaction from @saveourswale.bsky.social and other campaigners in our last report on water before the break thenortherneco.substack.com/p/anger-and-...
Anger and shock at 41% water bill rise
But separate landmark ruling on regulation gives hope for legal enforcement to be taken on sewage dumping at last
