Finished reading Neal Shusterman's "Scythe," in just two days.

Honestly, what a bop. It's been a minute since I'd last read a novel in such a short time, and I wasn't even *dedicated* to reading it in that time.

If this were circa 2016, I'd be asking "When's the next one?"

No such issue now.

I haven't *had* to wear socks in the morning(Especially while walking on tile) in a hot minute.

My toesies are freezing but the rest of me is comfortable, even with my thermostats set to 55 or so.

Dear misc. online stores - Just because I *order* something through you and expect email updates for that specific order, that does *not* invite you to send me your advertising bullshit.

Get outta here, I'm not joining some "inside club," where every Tom, Dick, and Jane are invited.

I started re-reading "Among the Hidden,"(A book from my childhood, of course) but stopped like 4 chapters in.

There seem to be so many weird anti-secularism and anti-societal dogwhistles, even just in the first bit.

I was enthralled with the action and plot as a kid, but grossed out by all this.

I've Costco'd a little too close to the sun.

I bought some Ritz cracker sandwiches MONTHS ago - like, I've already eaten what I thought I originally had.

One of my cats opened up a cabinet, and I went downstairs to fill my water - only to see another box of Ritz.

They expired in October(oh well).

I'm sure it's more to do with how common the names are/were more than anything, but I find it hilarious that my dad managed to marry two women whose names are also iconic rock songs - by KISS and Boston, respectively.

It doesn't really affect anything, just a thought I had.

Dunno what the fuck I was expecting(I followed through).

My nephew sent me(Well, the fundraising thing on his behalf) a URL to buy things and blahblahblah. Overpriced, but expected. Not the point.

I don't think anyone is prepared for just how much this aunt is looking forward to supporting her boys' fundraisers because I'm finna throw some 💸 down. 😤

I yearn for an alternate timeline where my childhood wasn't so traumatic and my memory of it so fuzzy as a result.

While it would be nice to enjoy whatever comes of such an AU, it would mostly be so I could remember what fucking book I read in 3rd grade that I want to read again.

Well I didn't *expect* the restroom at a Harley Davidson dealership to feel safe enough for me to use but here we are.

It was single-occupancy though so honestly there was zero need to have it gendered in the first place.

I love when mustard's contemporary gets brought up in written communication because then I can bring out the "catsup," and feel the unease as people have no idea what to do.

What are they gonna do, tell me that I'm wrong?

I've been messaging someone on discord for a few weeks(They reached out first, and I'm not against making friends) and today they hit me with some schtick about how much I work and how I could make money in the stock market.

What a wild long-game to be playing. Sucks for them that I'm not bitin'.

What a wonder it is that my siblings and I have ended up with the successes that we've had in spite our upbringing and parents.

Though then again, maybe we're as successful as we are as a direct result.

Hmm.

I'm so numbed by the bullshit going on IRL that I've actually found escape in the works of Suzanne Collins - ya know, the books set in a dystopian world where some old geezer plays with everyone's lives.

The fact that my tailbone hurts this much from riding my new bicycle is wild considering I've done 2500+ mile motorcycle rides without issue.

I'm gonna blame it on getting older.

The fun part of ending a 10+ year reading slump and now craving things to read is that you still have to wait for some of your favorite authors to finish up some books(Looking at you, Phillip Pullman. Respectfully, of course) just like everyone else.

Just coming to the realization that I could delete the mortgage app for the home I sold nearly a year ago has me on a high that can't really be matched.

I have a package coming in via UPS tomorrow.

Problem is, I've already received everything that I'm expecting from them.

I have no idea what's in the box and it's driving me crazy.

Was talking to my mom about a cancelled family camping trip - she said that I was always welcome to visit with the trip cancelled.

"Am I?" I asked with a pointed tone - I know how her partner is

She confirmed what I thought - He's still uncomfortable with who I am

Expected, it but it still sucks

I really need a 'Crossfaded af' mode for my phone - no Domino's, no phone calls, and limited text-chat capability.

Only thing is that I'm not gonna give permissions so y'all better figure out a way to see I'm fucked up alvbwithout any of the accessories.

The good news in forgetting to watch a show for a while(It's on Max, only thing I really watch there) is that I can actually binge it by the time I remember that Max exists.

It's Lazarus, by the way. A really good show if y'all wanted a recommendation.
