Luca Lorenz, a young, self-taught nature photographer from Germany, was named the 2025 European Wildlife Photographer of the Year by the GDT for his emotive work.
This image, titled "Snowstorm," received a Bronze Award in the Best Portrait category for the 2025 Bird Photographer of the Year contest.
The image features a close-up of an Alpine Chough (Pyrrhocorax graculus). The bird is covered in fine dusting of snow, staring directly into the lens with a "beady eye". In the last decade Chris Cyprus has emerged as a rising star of the art world. Now a major contemporary artist he is widely recognised for his unique style. His trademark features of bold colour, combined with seeing the beauty in the seemingly mundane, strike a chord with art lovers everywhere.

Working in both oil and watercolor, Joseph Alleman's paintings have become recognized and collected for their visionary portrayals of the Contemporary American West. Residing in Northern Utah, Joseph finds a great deal of inspiration in the regions land, towns, and people which make it unique.
The painting depicts a lonely, weathered wooden shed or hut situated in a vast, flat landscape. Immediately adjacent to the building stands a large, bare tree, its intricate branches spreading across much of the upper half of the canvas.

The painter and draughtswoman Eva Roemer was born in Berlin in 1889. Her work was characterised by water and mountains, wind and light. Nature is always at the centre of her pictures. Reeds bend in the storm, the lake shines in the evening light, a spring cloud rises in front of distant mountains.
The woodcut is an original color print by the German artist Eva Roemer (1889-1977), as indicated by the text on the image. The artwork depicts numerous small birds, likely swallows, perched on several parallel telegraph or power lines against a sky filled with soft, billowing clouds. A few birds are shown in flight around the wires.

Theodor Kittelsen is most renowned for his depictions of Norwegian folklore, making creatures like trolls, huldra, and Nøkken feel tangible within the Norwegian wilderness.
His art often fused the beauty of nature with supernatural elements, giving it a conscious, sometimes menacing, presence.
The image is a drawing titled The Water Sprite (also known as Nøkken or The Monster in the Lake) by the Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen, created in 1904.
