I’m always amazed at how little importance some companies place on complaint management. Dear fellow freelancers from Germany: Irgendwer eine Empfehlung für eine webbasierte, simple Buchhaltungs- / Rechnungssoftware? #Billomat ist nicht mehr tragbar.

Rest in peace, Renato Casaro. Quite a few of your movie posters hung on my wall during my youth.

Indeed a 1:1 copy. That's insane. Especially that you needed to go public to get a reaction. Hope you'll share the rest of the story.
In 2020, Funs Kurstjens and I designed the website for stylist Natalie Schneider. It’s a project I am still proud of and continue to showcase in my portfolio.

I recently came across Welcome Agency’s site (online since 2023), which in my view is a 1:1 copy of our design.

I’m now a #btMember, a friend of @beyondtellerrand.com. That means I give Marc a bit of cash to help him keep my favourite conference going.

In return, I also get some goodies. I recently received my “Stay Curious” letterpress print by Rob Draper. So cool. Thanks, Marc & Rob!

Completely fell in love with Gavin Strange’s web 1.0 designs for BT Conf. Still at the hotel, and in a burst of inspiration, I made a fusion of two silly side projects: Artifactor x Stewwood Brewing = Random digital art based on beer data. Refreshes every 20 seconds.

I once made this #codepen called “Super Simple Parallax Fullscreen Hero Header with Object-Fit.” Just saw it has 2,000+ views. Is that a lot? No clue—probably not. But it might’ve helped some people.

Does anyone else have the problem that when reading certain brand names, a melody from a well-known song with the same name starts playing in their head?

I’m not quite sure where my /now page is headed. I guess I’ve stretched the concept a bit—somehow, the page has morphed into a sort of diary or something. A logbook, as I call it. Public self-reflection. No idea, is that a good thing? I suppose so.

This is a cool reaction to senseless graffiti vandalism (not to be confused with graffiti art):

Had quite a view occurrences recently where people asked for feedback in their social media posts or podcast episodes and I wrote lengthy responses but got NO reaction whatsoever. Don’t ask for feedback if you don’t really want it.

My weird tendency to invent magazines has flared up again. No idea if this already exists, but if I were to create a magazine about sneakers, this is what I’d call it. Images: Midjourney.

Trying out Buffer.com. This post should be sent to my Threads, Mastodon, and Bluesky accounts. If you’re reading this on one of these platforms, it worked! 😄

I’m also attaching two square images to see how they turn out.
