There are regretful parents who fantasize about my quiet, minimalist life.

I need to remember that when I'm disappointed I haven't realized my own dreams.

Can some people stop acting like not having kids is a tragedy?
My bills are lower, my sleep is uninterrupted, and my peace is priceless.
You can keep the “miracle of life” — I’ll take the miracle of silence. 😌

Some people panic when they’re alone. Like, being solo means something’s broken. It doesn’t.
You can love being with someone and still know that your world doesn't end if it's just you.
A table for one is still a table.
A Saturday morning alone is still a life.
You're allowed to be your own home! 🖤

The beauty lies in these women alive
in their final acts of choice,
in taking their lives into their own hands.
The sorrow lies in a slowing heart
at only one choice believed remaining,
in the deep darkness of unconscious ground.

We Must Preserve The Earth's Dwindling Resources For My Five Children
As we move into the 21st century, it is our responsibility to think of the future of the earth—not for ourselves, but for those who will inherit what my husband and I leave behind when we’re gone. If ...

If you hate birds, and wish or enact harm on birds — any bird, geese and seagulls too —

then I hate you and think you're a piece of shit.

There's no such thing as a nuisance animal. We're the ones that displaced them with our lives of convenience and malice.

A former French military base, Vauban is a thriving neighbourhood of 5,500 residents connected to Freiburg town centre by bus and light rail. Built in the late 1990s as a radical experiment in low-car living, it forgoes virtually all on-street parking in favour of active, green, and social spaces. 🧵

I don't want children the way someone wouldn't want mealworms for a snack.

It doesn't even register in my brain as an option, and when/if it's offered, I'm disgusted. Though in many places, it's commonplace.
