I spent the last 2 weeks in Romania. First, they know many Americans are not ok. And second, they overthrew communism within my generation’s life and see it happening to us. We need to learn from them and stand up against tyrants.

One bright spot in life today... I got a new fridge. This is the highlight of my day. This is what middle age looks like.

Ok folks. Can we not do the pick on Tik Tok and those who come here from there thing? TT is a valuable global community that provided employment for a LOT of people and community for a LOT of people. It is art and culture and laughs and education and silliness.

I am heartbroken over this. Gaiman had been my favorite author for decades. To know how evil his actions have been just reminds me why “not all men” holds no weight. (TW on the article. It’s rough). #choosethebear #metoo

I have NO plans this weekend and am so excited. I will un-decorate, fold laundry, read, and under no circumstances “people”. We have to RTO next week so I must prepare for the bullshit that is commuting. (RTO is for bad leaders to feel important).

Back to work tomorrow. Holidays have been lovely but I do like having a routine. Though my sister points out I could create routine without work just fine. 🤣

The holidays have been full of ups and downs this year. However I can say I am truly blessed. Loved, taken care of, and surrounded by wonderful people. I am looking forward to getting back to routine after a night of friends for New Year’s.

I forgot today was “buy all the things at stupid hours” day. Slept in, worked on a puzzle. Going to go donate some clothes and start working on putting up lights. I want no part of that madness.

I am thankful this year that my family (born and chosen) are all safe. It was a challenging year and there were some scary moments.

Years ago my spouse and I decided we were not going to participate in the stress of travel for Thanksgiving. Between my work and living in the land of unpredictable weather it was too much. So we go out for a nice meal, tip really well, then come home and start the holiday movies and decorating. 💚

So this was my first tattoo in the summer. My amazing artist took the jumble of words I blabbered at her and designed perfection. It’s on my forearm.
