We’re working every day to improve sidewalks across the city, making it safer and easier for everyone to get around.

Deputy Chief Julia Campbell walks us through the process of how sidewalks get repaired in Boston. If you see a sidewalk that needs work, let us know with @311.boston.gov.

We also finished piloting a school-bus-only street at the King Elementary School. By reducing congestion near the school, we explored opportunities to make arrival and dismissal smoother and safer.

Over the weekend, we hosted a block party to collect feedback about school commutes!

On average it takes less than 1 day for a pothole reported to 311 to be filled by the Public Works Department.

PWD is working around the clock to address @311.boston.gov pothole cases as fast as possible.

If you spot a pothole, report it by calling 3-1-1 (617-635-4500) or with the BOS:311 app.

Terrified & sickened by this!!! Bring Rumeysa home.
Standing with thousands of Somerville residents to denounce the sickening, unlawful abduction of Tufts graduate student Rumeysa Ozturk by masked federal agents last night. We need to bring Rumeysa home and organize a coordinated defense of our immigrant neighbors and our constitutional rights.
