New academic year, new institution, new role. I am no longer with the National Park Service and I am grateful to be a #postdoc for FIU’s Institute of Environment. I’d love to connect with others working across sectors or navigating #earlycareer research in these uncertain times.

Just got home from an inspiring week at the NITMB celebrating Dr. Ricardo Cortez, biofluid dynamics, and math modeling education. Grateful for the invitation and reminders of the value of creativity, kindness, and collaboration when building a career in research and training.

One of the greatest honors of my life was the nine months I spent as a Data Scientist for the National Park Service.
I joined NPS as a critical hire supporting database development, data stewardship, and analysis for Everglades monitoring and restoration. It was the dream job I didn’t know existed.
