Liberal, hippie, read a lot, dog lover, librarian, mad as hell at the US and much of the world. Cocktails, wine, coffee, chocolate, & the Oxford comma are some of my favorite things. Rare books and history of the book are a bit of an obsession as well.

For those with family/friends who don’t get what is happening the Arizona Attorney General does a good job of explaining it. (With a calmness that I’m incapable of right now)

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

There’s a lot going on and maybe, like me, you need a break to focus on birds?

The great backyard bird count is today through Monday (Feb. 14-17):

How to Participate
Participating is easy, fun to do alone or with others, and can be done anywhere you find birds. Simply watch birds for 15 minutes or more, at least once over the four days and tell us what you see!

So for the last few years I’ve been receiving emails from the USPS with images of the mail being delivered that day. Recently the bottom of the email gives me the option to share that email on facebook or x. WTH? I guess it’s 1 reason why Musk is buying the US government 😡

Seems like a good time to ask some Trump Administration what exactly they consider "Radical and Wasteful" about MLK day, Black History Month, Holocaust Remembrance Day, Juneteenth, National Hispanic Heritage Month, etc. Make them say it.
Intelligence officials are starting to leak to me now too. Here’s a memo Defense Intelligence Agency personnel received instructing them to suspend observances including:
- Holocaust Remembrance Day
- MLK Day
- Juneteenth
