Absolutely vital that this criminal and other accountability will go forward.
Zelenskyy & Netherlands PM Schoof discussed legal accountability for russian aggression, and justice mechanisms like a Tribunal & Claims Commission. Netherlands pledged €700M aid, support for energy resilience, and hosting an International Claims Commission for #Ukraine.

Then the entire non-far right in France needs to prepare now.
Jordan Bardella said his National Rally party remains against deploying French troops to Ukraine, underscoring the long-term fragility of France's commitment to Kyiv if the far-right faction wins the presidential elections in 2027.

Far-right leader Bardella renews push against French troops in Ukraine
The comments are likely to prompt concerns over the durability of any French security commitments to Kyiv.

Well, the pursuit of knowledge had a nice little run there
Grading and googling hallucinated citations, as one does nowadays, and now that LLMs have been around for a while, I've discovered new horrors: hallucinated journals are now appearing in Google Scholar with dozens of citations bc so many people are citing these fake things

Today, 34 countries & the EU will sign the @coe.int Convention establishing the Claims Commission. I hope many will follow.

This Convention is open to every state. With non-members and members on equal footing.

Together, they send a clear message: Every loss must be recorded — every loss repaired.

This is wrong in every sense. Zelensky and Europe must just say no. Witkoff is a corrupt real estate man. What does he have to do with any of this?
US officials said in talks that Kyiv should withdraw troops from the Donetsk region. Witkoff demanded the same thing yesterday.

Kyiv insists that any ceasefire must come without prior territorial concessions to Russia.

If they were put on a lie detector and asked who they want to see win the war in Ukraine, Trump, Vance, Musk, Thiel, Witkoff, and Colby would answer: Russia.

Unfortunately, the same applies to most on the far right and far left in Europe.

Why oh why would anyone trust Trump? He is trying to save Putin--that is his only goal. Words mean nothing to him. Surely Europeans see through this?
We're going to try to get it done. We're making progress. It's more difficult than anybody could have thought.

It is insulting to the entire free world to have Kushner and Witkoff in the room. It is infuriating.
❗️The meeting of Zelenskyy, European leaders, and the NATO Secretary General with Witkoff and Kushner has begun in Berlin.

So why give Trump this kind of role at all?
The head of MI6, Blaise Metreweli, reports that Putin is dragging out negotiations on a peace deal with Ukraine. Germany’s foreign minister Wadephul, reports the US delegation is coordinating with Putin. Danish intelligence reports the US is a security risk for Europe.

Why would Ukraine agree to this? It's dangerous, insane.
Trump says he's offering Ukraine "Article 5-style" security guarantees — sounds great, right?

There's a catch: the guarantee becomes void if Ukraine strikes Russia "without cause."

Both Washington and Moscow have already blamed Ukraine for a war Russia started.

One of the great failures of contemporary political news coverage in a lot of media is the unspoken principle that no violation of norms or decency by Trump is really news, worthy of sustained attention, unless it also upsets people who love him. It isn't "not taking the bait"; it's sleepwalking.

The evil of the man who enjoys harming others; the man who will never be cared for. Who imposed this on our country?
This goes way beyond politics. This is pure evil.
This is both disgusting and expected.

Even for trump, this is complete insanity. What a vicious madman.
Just a reminder that at least 600 Americans were fired for failing to show sufficient respect after Charlie Kirk's murder.

He needs to resign and be prosecuted.
1. Measles is ravaging South Carolina.

Over 100 people infected, and hundreds more in quarantine.

In response, RFK Jr., the nation's top public health official, has been SILENT

But it's much worse than that. RFK Jr. and his allies are undermining confidence in the vaccine
As measles ravages South Carolina, RFK Jr. undermines the vaccine
There is a massive measles outbreak spreading rapidly in Upstate South Carolina.

Do not agree to anything Witkoff wants!
2/It is reported that the Ukrainian side insists that a ceasefire must occur WITHOUT prior territorial concessions to Russia; at most, they are willing to agree to one along the current front line.

Ukraine is literally the only country doing what NATO was designed to do. DO NOT AGREE TO THIS.
December 15, 2025 at 11:50 AM
NO, do not do this. Do not. You do not need to make such basic concessions. Putin is the criminal here, not you.
December 14, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Ukraine should trust no other country at this point, and march on to defeat Putin. We thank you, Ukraine.

You had like 60 court cases to present evidence and there was none. I know what election was rigged, though--Nov 2024.
Trump: The election was rigged in 2020. We have all the ammunition, all this stuff, and you'll see it come out. It’s coming out in truckloads.

This endless, insane boasting by a man who has achieved literally nothing in his miserable life.
Trump 2024 campaign video: “All other presidents failed. They didn’t know what they were doing. I defeated ISIS in just a matter of weeks. Thank you.”

I keep saying, day after day, our problem is a failure to update crucial and basic laws. We live under an archaic and weak legal system that allowed for capture by fascists.
Outdated laws give presidents sweeping power to use the military at home to suppress protests and make mass arrests in times of war and domestic upheaval. Congress must repeal the Alien Enemies Act, close the loopholes in the Posse Comitatus Act, and reform the Insurrection Act. bit.ly/4oxXJLN
Outdated and Dangerous
Antiquated laws from the 1700s and 1800s give the president tremendous power to use the military at home to quash protests and order mass arrests in times of war and domestic upheaval.
