AI current developments don’t just happen. They are planned and without our input. This is why knowing help make better choices- we should all be able to steer the wheel.
This one is the one that shook me up the most because it ties into my Michigan water research and explains some things that had been incomprehensible (but in a really bad way) www.datacenterdynamics.com/en/news/plan...

I can't help feeling a "game-changing" technology that's going to "transform" the way we work wouldn't need to be sneaked into products without the user's consent.

All I see is posts asking "How do I switch this f**king thing off?"

Copilot's the U2 album nobody asked for, except it's not free.

Trust a well-intentioned billionaire to choose Week 1 of an authoritarian regime to tell us how "AI Will Empower Humanity"
Though Hoffman admits his economic interest in the tech, his op-ed suffers from the typical foibles "good guy" technocracy. 🧵 /1 #criticalAI

The Apple II c was my first computer. I could spend hours on it with my sister, but when it really came down to it, she wanted to code games, and I spent hours trying to paint a picture pixel by pixel… in the end, we both work as AI consultants haha.

But as @melissahei.bsky.social reports, generating text "is significantly less energy-intensive."
