Wow, they were tenacious in trying to uncover that whole Pizzagate thing with the pedophiles & the children.....

But they're not nearly as interested in uncovering the REAL scandal involving pedophiles, children and a private island.
I don't think we're hearing the REAL reason(s) why the Ds caved....

"Yale’s most recent climate opinion poll shows that while more than two-thirds of Americans want stronger climate policy, less than a third of them say they see coverage of the issue in the media at least once a week."

Media has been failing on this for many years.

The Media Is Complicit in the Climate Confusion
The vast majority of people want their governments to take climate action—but most wrongly think they’re in the minority. The media is partly to blame.

The Democratic Party stabbed America in the back less than a week after the American voters gave the party a “fight back” mandate.
Tonight was a very bad night.

Nobody in American politics hates their own voters more than the Democratic Party

It’s clear the Democratic Party needs new leadership. Desperately. ASAP.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

“The president told Senate Republicans that the government shutdown was ‘worse for us than for them’”

So of course the Ds had to cave.

Trump Has One Mission: To Make Your Life Hell
Tuesday’s elections should have been a wake-up call for Republicans. Instead, the administration is responding in the only way it knows how: causing more misery for millions of Americans.

If Pelosi had instead decided to run again, I think that would've been the final straw, I would've left the party. Seriously.

Based on Tuesday's election results, who's likely crapping their pants more than Rs? The many people who make their $$$ advising Democrats to remain establishment, status quo & very mindful of their big donors. Which means remain Schumer/Jeffries/Pelosi (old, stale, performative).
