Our church picnic moved to the church basement because a storm was on the way. Before the storm arrived, it was 88°. It’s now 67°.

Knitting rabbit holes: I while looking at vest patterns, I found one using a discontinued yarn that I only have one skein of. Sure, I can use other yarn for this, but the internet just showed me 5 more skeins of it for sale. I only need to find one more skein. The internet shows me another 2.

I finished the crochet dog. Not my best work, but I proved to myself that I know enough to teach some youngsters to make their own.

I’m test crocheting an amigurumi pattern before I teach some kids to do it. My hand does not enjoy this process. The bigger hook rubs against the scar tissue on my hand. I wonder if those handle grips would help. Anyone have experience with them? #crochet

There isn’t much that belonged to my mom that has survived. I was 10 when she died. I have some very old photos—practically none in my lifetime. But I have a cross that she wore in her senior picture in 1939, her letter from baseball, and a metal cross. ⬇️

We picked up bike from the bike shop. I rode it to the end of the road and back, and the crashed when I tried to stop and get off the bike. 💥😬
I’m not hurt, but I had a heck of a time getting off the ground with my sore leg.

I’m playing piano on the worship team at church for the first time here. I played for decades at my former church, but I’ve hardly played since 2020. I practiced today until my hands hurt. I hope that wasn’t a mistake.

I doubled my walking mileage last week at the dulcimer festival, and I’m pretty sure I now have shin splints in my right leg. 😑

We watched 101 Dalmatians 4 times (at least) this weekend. I noticed that the woman with the pug seems to be knitting continental. 🧶 Only her right hand moves, but never throws. My family did not find this interesting. 🤨

It’s been a great weekend. The fam was in and we had a great time going to the farmers market, checking out Nelson, the giant Sasquatch, dinner at the Mexican restaurant, playing cards at the bar, and just hanging out. Everything is cleaned up, and now I’m beat.

I’m on sleeve island. I was tempted to leave this as a cap sleeve sweater, but I decided to push on. I’m not sure that I have enough of this yarn for both sleeves, but I have a Mussleburgh hat in the same yarn that I’d be willing to frog. 🧶

After having this sweater on my lap for a few weeks, I'm finally working on the button band. I've got the sweater body done, and I'm still thinking about making it a short sleeve sweater. With these colors it seems to want to be a spring sweater. #ShowMeYourKnits #WIP

I've been working on a scrappy sweater with dropped shoulders. I tried it on and I'm not so sure that I'm going to add the rest of the sleeves I've kind of like how it looks with short sleeves. But I like the sweater enough to make another one with long sleeves in not scrappy yarn.
