I didn’t include this context in this story, but I think this is worth remembering: if you work full time at federal min wage ($7.25/hr) you earn just $15,080/year. 138% of fed poverty level is ≈ $10.38/hr full time. More than 20 states use fed min wage.

For the last 40 minutes, we've been monitoring a small group of protesters near Riverpark Square and attempts by Spokane Police, and also Councilmember Paul Dillon and a local organizer, to get the protesters to go home.

We've been unable to identify explicit demands the group have
