Forced resignations have been common in developing countries, but I never thought I would see such practices in the U.S. During my graduate studies, I studied U.S. public service to gather examples for developing countries. Unfortunately, inappropriate appointments have become a troubling trend now.

Taliban regime's shocking paradox: Their officials claim to stop early marriages, yet reports reveal they're forcing underaged girls to become their 2nd & 3rd wives. A high-ranking official even paid a family huge money to marry an underaged girl, Zarghoona.

A question for the Taliban:
“What happens when your own loved ones fall ill? Who will care for them?” They have no response!

We know the answer: they'll either be taken to Pakistan for treatment or forced to suffer in silence at home. This is the harsh reality we've seen time and time again.

1. The Taliban's latest move to ban women from basic medical education is a devastating blow to their future and the entire country. After banning higher education, they've now closed health institutions, leaving women with no career pathways.

1. The Taliban’s Ministry of Cultural Affairs has banned 433 books, targeting a wide range of topics from religion to politics. They've labeled these works as contradictory to their beliefs and national interest, severely restricting freedom of speech in Afghanistan.

Six more countries join the fight for justice! Bringing the Taliban to ICC is a crucial step, but not long-term solution. Let's work together to build a legitimate, inclusive & democratic government that respects human rights, accepts diversity and is accountable. #JusticeForAfghanistan

The Taliban's restrictive interpretation of Islam is causing concern for religious minorities, including Sufis, Ahmadis, Ismailis, and Shia followers. Religious freedom is a fundamental human right. International HR organizations, including @SR_Afghanistan should protect them.

Pakistan's Strategic Depth policy in AFG has backfired. After nurturing terrorist groups like TTP & Afghan Taliban over years, Islamabad is now facing the consequences. Innocent Pakistani citizens are paying the price for ISI's misguided tactics. As the saying goes: "As you sow, so shall you reap".

Nila Ibrahimi has the capacity to become another Malala. She is a figure who inspires and educates million girls around the globe.
Let’s encourage Nila Ibrahimi & help her utilize her profile & courage for education projects seriously needed in our homeland; particularly for women and girls.

I take the opportunity to congratulate Ms. Zholia Parsi and Nila Ibrahimi two active and impactful girls from Afghanistan for winning the Martin Ennals’s and International Peace Children’s Awards 2024. Afghan women have shown courage against tyranny and stood for human rights. Congratulations!

2. I would like to speak about Afghanistan: Following the 2020 US-Taliban agreement at Doha, the country has become a prison for women. Of Taliban’s 100s of edicts targeting women - banning education, employment, 70% of their regulations aim to erase women from public life. #AfghanWomen"

Sometimes nature produce exceptional artifacts. This is a carrot from a farm in Yakawlang Bamiyan in Afghanistan. A friend posted this on his Facebook.
