The wildfire smoke is Mother Earth's diffusion filter.
I'm relieved to have it because it's an emotionally exhausting day. Leaving a job & co-workers I like for a new opportunity that brings me into our communities.

The rectangles were a de-stressor. The paint is Dr Ph Martin's Radiant Concentrated. They're super intense liquid #watercolour. More like ink in some ways.
I might add some leafy twigs in the larger blocks. The page is 5x7" so there's not much room.

Imo, I did a better job with the blue. The red doesn't have enough variation in the band shapes.

This is the 7th incarnation of my glass furnace. When we first opened, I built the bench first, but the furnace came next, and was far more intimidating. Each rebuild has been better. I use an invested crucible, a forced air burner, and a Giberson burner tip. This too was built largely from scrap.

This little tissue box drying rack has been a winner! My granddaughter tends to use a lot of brushes for her paint explorations. Here are this evening's.
So easy to make one of these. Just toss it when it wears out, but no sign of that yet & it's been a couple of months!
