Stunning prose and interiority. Sofia & her mother Rose are in Spain seeking answers at a specialist clinic to Rose's many health problems. Sofia swims in a sea swarming with jellyfish, as if their sting reminds her she is alive. Eccentric chrs & their desire for escape & a better reality.

Excellent premise. Neffi is sacked from her marine biologist job & volunteers to join a paid vaccine trial at the time of an international pandemic. The virus spirals, the medics abandon Neffi at the clinic, trapped like an animal in a bad experiment, with only her memories. #bookpost

The Black Rabbit pub, Arundel, features in my novel 'I, Said the Sparrow'. Thea meets William under the veranda & William spills the tea about his past. He is murdered walking home along the river. Thea is arrested & has to fight to clear her name.

Walk in Arundel Park this morning. Perfect November sunshine. Sheep nudged the grass & we were greeted by a skein of honking geese. Arundel features in my first two novels & in my WIP. Where do you go to find inspiration?

A family flees a forest fire, treading water for hours in the sea before they are rescued. Traumatised and scarred, the forest destroyed, they seek answers in order to heal. A perfect metaphor for collective responsibility for global warming.
