As Hanson and Grady grow closer, the town legends surrounding the gingerbread-style house prove to be more than just cold spots and creaking floors. Fairy tales might not be real—but this one could spell The End for them both. Now, where’s a fairy godmother when you need one? mybook.to/C37Gv

The dude was born with a six-pack, and at 6’2” of solid muscle, with a dimpled smile that could melt lead, he had no shortage of people fawning over him. It doesn’t hurt that he’s funny, thoughtful, and flirts with absolutely everyone.

As authors, we all have an origin story, even if it's "I wrote my first story in Kindergarten and never quit." This is mine. It's hard to believe it was 10 years ago this month that I finished my first project. headphones366.blogspot.com/2026/01/alte...

It's Rainbow Snippet Sunday, and I'm snipping from Smoke and Sparks again. Daryl's coming out scene with his mom isn't as tear-jerking as Shane's is with Yuna, but I think it's sweet. headphones366.blogspot.com/2026/01/rain...

Since we "did" Christmas a week late, I'm completely lost on what day it is. I had planned to organize and work out marketing plans starting January 1. Whoops!

(I'll start tomorrow.)

Belated Happy New Year!

I'm 100% a mood reader and my mood has been all over the place lately! Usually I hit the Holiday books this time of year, but not this December. I DNFed a handful of books, not because there was anything wrong with them, but because I couldn't get into them. Anyone else have that problem?

It's a Christmas Rainbow Snippet. I have plenty of happy Christmas scenes in other books, but Smoke and Sparks has been on my mind lately, so I chose a not happy Christmas scene for this week's snippet. headphones366.blogspot.com/2025/12/rain...

Ideas were popping up almost faster than I could type, and I was so absorbed in what I was doing, I didn’t notice the buzz of my phone at first. But a second and then a third text vibrated against my leg. I expected it to be Annabelle but it was the realtor with a handful of listings. That was fast.

Five years ago, my queer retelling of a Christmas story or song landed on Jingle Bells, with "A Day (or Two) Ago."

This one doesn’t have a grand story. It was mostly "I need to pick a retelling, but my arm is barely working, and it feels like the world is on fire."

"Let’s just do something fun."
A Day (or Two) Ago
Every year for the past few years, I’ve re-written a holiday story through a queer lens, retelling it as a way to retroactively tell stories to my younger self that include people like me. The firs…

Made the graphic, forgot to post it. I'm still on my series kick, and I threw in a couple of rereads. I'm sure I'm not the only one who reread Heated Rivalry!

Like Cracks in the Sidewalk is two today! Several years ago, I was planning a series called "Decades", but eventually abandoned the idea. This is my 1990s edition of the series-that-didn't-happen, and the angstiest of the bunch.

I was spending too much time obsessing over his hands and my face flushed. Val caught it–I swear the man missed nothing–and he laughed, but it was gentle. “You blush easily. I wonder what I have to say to make you turn bright red.”

October started on a cruise ship and ended with hospital stays for my mom. Needless to say, I prefer reading in the middle of the ocean to reading in a hospital room.
