An article I wrote on the intersection of science and art. It's about Ponycam, the Aus company currently at St Anne's warehouse in NY!

Does bluesky hate sex workers? Why is tryst blocked?
This one is a great read for anyone from industries where identity and community are tied up with work, and the complications with leaving many don't understand the weight of.
I've got a new piece up at the @tryst.link blog today. It's about retiring and community and belonging.

Something that's been annoying me for ages is when people talk about their favourite director or writer but when you press you realise actually they love the designer.

Not that his video needed to be longer, but some folks maybe need to internalize concepts like "fair use doesn't only apply to IP owned by megacorps" and "sometimes people, independent of each other, have similar observations and independently express similar ideas"

the stc Keffiyeh blowout is so focused around art being political when the actual art they were doing was The Seagull? it's about as politically null as you can get(these days)

This isn't about art being political, it's about workers having opinions, labourers having opinions. That's the tussle

Reposted this 3 times because I don't know how to use this app.

I thought this too. I spend my whole life watching videos like this and yet almost none of these creators have appeared.

Highlights the issue of YouTube's horrific search algorithm and how it benefits plagiarists.
The new HBomberguy video might be intimidating, but I think one takeaway is that there are excellent creators that I wasn't aware of. There was only 6 on this list HBomb posted that I knew of, and it's a drop in the bucket compared to everyone Somerton ripped off.

@hbomberguy.bsky.social released a new video and made me feral once again.

I tend to go through patterns of creating and quitting Forever™ because all the hacks feel untouchable and unique artists get walked on.

Between H and Deadloch, I'm at the good part of that cycle again.

Here is an article I wrote about nostalgic videogames and exploring your past.

This one is probably most enjoyed by trans gamers :)
