This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

New report shows that NIH grants fueled $95 billion in economic activity and 407,782 jobs in 2024.

That's not to mention the countless lives that biomedical research has saved.

Show me a better investment than that.

People with doctorates are the most liberal and progressive. The entire mission of destroying academia is to eliminate entire voting demographics. They explicitly spell this out.

Shutting down PhD programs isn't an accident, it's the goal.

I want to be clear about where we stand with the EO:

The battlefield is now revealed. We know the pieces on it and their plans. It doesn't mean its lost or immediate.

But Trump has fired his first shot.

Implementation will take time and challenges are sure to come. Stay strong, its a marathon.
