Excited to share our most recent paper, where we engineered an optical nanosensor to rapidly and accurately differentiate estrogen receptor status in patient breast cancer cytology samples! This was a great collaboration with MSKCC! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...
Detection of Estrogen Receptor Status in Breast Cancer Cytology Samples by an Optical Nanosensor
Single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT)-based optical sensors are designed to detect the presence of the estrogen receptor on the surface of breast cancer cells. The engineered sensor is benchmarked in...

This part of the job is the most fun! I’m very excited that 4th year PhD student Amelia Ryan passed her candidacy exam today! She did an excellent job presenting her plans to develop a multiplexed fluorescent nanosensor to study neurodegenerative diseases. Great job Amelia!
