just saw someone say that the maintenance burden on emission reduction systems in cars is "worth huffing raw nitrous[sic] oxide" and that is a fucking nuts and deeply american opinion, and also given that they said 'nitrous' rather than 'nitric' they prob dunno what they're talking about

my dad is so fucking frustrating to shop with because he's a control freak so he takes the cart but he's also incredibly fucking mentally slow so i'm constantly having to get him to get out of other people's way because he's stopped in the middle of an aisle or walking slow as shit blocking others

i was thinking about pokemon R/S/E and got mad again about how much of a good writing opportunity was missed by making may/brendan the main rival character rather than wally who only really shows up near the beginning and at the end of the game, a total of like 3-4 times

remembered i guess blender may be improving their cad capabilities? i remember my dad saying he actually read a recommendation to use blender for simpler CAD type stuff and i'm kinda skeptical because i kinda remember reading blender's not great at exact dimensions in the 3d models for some reason
last repost: that said, it kills me that there aren't really any good well-known FOSS CAD options that aren't scripting type cad. openscad is pretty alright but having to learn a programming language to use it is pretty fucking painful

Preemptively, I understand the necessity to work with industry standards in some workflows... but this nonsense from Adobe is why I've been transitioning to using FOSS, or at least freeware, for pretty much everything I do. I don't think any company should have that kind of authority over my art.
