I've heard a lot of people shy away from doing their own graphics for locals/events because "it's not gonna be good," and if there's any one thing I've learned & sincerely believe myself, it's that the quality doesn't matter - your locals will be THRILLED at anything made for them, jank or not, frfr
Even though I'm married to an amazing artist, I don't ask her to do all the visual design and illustration for our events bc her time is expensive. I do a lot of it myself, and the jank becomes part of the charm that the rest of our creative folks riff off of. GenAI is a waste of your eyeballs.
