Okay so it definitely needs time to cook but it’s not bad; I think they definitely could have explored post-Burn rebuilding politics without changing the initial premise for what’s driving the new Captain or by slapping a YA lens over the top. The Academy setting doesn’t really add anything for me.
Going to watch Starfleet Academy this morning and keep an open mind because I need some sort of Trek fix regardless
