Trans erasure is really dangerous and infuriating in general, but this is particularly egregious. Stonewall was led by the trans community (especially trans folx of color, as Rami points out), and queer rights would not be where they are now (or were) without the central role of trans folx.
I was waiting for this to happen when they said that all the “National Monuments will be under review”.
This is so wrong.
Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera, two Trans women of colour, were among the first (and others!) that kickstarted a global movement of equality and human rights here.

‼️ The National Park Service has REMOVED mentions of transgender people being involved with Stonewall. Not only did the remove the world "Transgender" but changed "LGBTQ+" to "LGBQ+".
