I’m helping out with Retakes at work and it’s crazy how minute the changes can be and how such small changes can make such a huge difference. If anything can save us from AI, it’s artists’ absurd attention to detail.

Finally started watching THE STUDIO, a show made for weirdos like me who have been reading Variety, Hollywood Reporter and Deadline since they were in high school. Obviously I love it.

I’m traveling on the Coast Starlight from LA to Seattle and back and it’s kind of crazy to have travel days that aren’t stressful at all. All I do is board the train, sit, look out the window, eat and read. Tremendously inefficient but incredibly relaxing.

My favorite thing about the last long-distance train I took was discovering every retiree who takes the train for fun is a massive AMERICAN DAD fan.

I’m in line for the Over the Garden Wall concert. A guy in a Dodgers hat slowly drives his car down the alley way, blasting music. His window is rolled down and he’s drinking a Modelo. He sees me holding a Liquid Death, holds out his beer, and says “Cheers.” We clink drinks and I say “Go Dodgers.”

Caught a matinee of the Blasting Company’s OVER THE GARDEN WALL concert. Crazy to think the show came out eleven years ago and how long ago that feels now. A relic from a much different age.

Dodgers win! It’s probably cheating to root for one of the best teams in baseball but whatever, I lived in Seattle for thirty years, this is a nice change of pace.
