Man, Clair Obscur has so many little quality of life things I now never want to go without. For example, the way recovery items work like Estus flasks means I use them all the time instead of hoarding them for a boss I never end up spending them on.

Sinners was so fucking good. I was expecting a fun vampire time, I was not expecting a movie with so much amazing stuff to say about what it means to make music, and what music can do. All the performances were out of control.

So I'm currently teaching a class on video game music at a local film music program. Students are all adults, mid 20a to 50+. Some have never played a video game in their lives and are asking for examples to help them learn more about the medium

I had an amazing time at #gdc meeting up with old friends, making new ones, giving a talk, and generally soaking up the energy of this incredible, creative community, but you'll have to extrapolate all that from the only photo I remembered to take

Took me two minutes and it's worth doing. You can get the 5 Calls app if you want to make it easier, gives you your reps' numbers and a script to use if you want

One of my favorite things a story can do is have multiple encounters with the villain before the final confrontation. Let you get to know them, build some stakes.
