I feel you. I think it'll take maybe 5-7 years worth of the HYPE -->SLOP/FLOP loop until a charming indie comes along and smokes the whole show, starting the conversation over again (maybe idealistic, but life is crazy and people get bored)

I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. Just, as always, something we all have to keep an eye on and adjust to as we're developing. A few years ago I would have said production value gets you nowhere, but I think the pendulum is swinging the other way and will go that direction for awhile
