I really wish I could manage to write a novella properly. I always end up writing longer and then force myself to keep trimming and trimming. I think most of the problem is I Iike complicated characters, which usually take more time to understand. #writerproblems #authorproblems

#authorquestion How do you track small things in the narrative? An example is a short repeated phrase. But not one that is repeated a lot to give weight and consistency to the story? Logically, I could just make a note BUT I have a lot of things like that woven in for the readers.

Whew, one release down and several to go. The marketing is the hardest for me, as it is with so many other authors. Mainly because it's a different part of your brain being used and a different kind of process. I know it's necessary, but I don't think I'll ever be excellent at it.

Why did I decide to write a zombie apocalypse story from someone traveling with the zombies instead of the humans? I hadn't read it before. It might exist, but I haven't read it and I wanted to see how things might turn out. Especially if the main character wasn't a "badass survivalist". #zombies

Renee was an interesting character to write because she's not the typical survivor you'd expect in a zombie apocalypse. She's how I imagine most semi sheltered people would be if their world ended when they were in high school but they managed to survive years after.

I'm SOOOO happy! As an indie author who writes cross genre books, it's tough to find your readers, but after several years I think I finally found a few 😁 It's the best feeling in the world. Much better than drifting in the void of uncertainty.
