Lovely doggy cuddles at work today. An elderly spaniel and a massive unit who nerved me a bit because of his size, but he was a sweetie. Home now for Wing Stop.

Imagine how much of a fucking fanny you'd have to be to accept a prize that someone else had won and be genuinely pleased with it?
It's actually quite hard to imagine how such a person could achieve anything in life.

I’m reading a fascinating book about the road to the American Civil War in the 1800s and I love that I can Google the names and see their faces.

Late to it but loving Blue Lights. I care about the characters and what happens to them. The French cop show Spiral was one of my top three favourite programmes. Loved the characters in that too.

I hate that new build at Haymarket. At the very least it’s a constant wind tunnel in summer or winter and blows a gale all the time. The only two shops are crap and it’s an eyesore and gives nothing to locals.

Annoyingly my usual coffee shop at this time is packed and all the best seats gone. I’m usually there half an hour later when school and work starts. I’ll know next time.

I’m up and it’s still dark. Going for coffee.

Watched 28 Years Later again tonight in prep for the next one. Two things: the amazing Young Fathers soundtrack and the completely heart wrenching death scene. Oh and Danny Boyle is brilliant overall.

So that’s Zahawi and Dorries, failed to get into Lords and join Reform. Gullis couldn’t get a job after losing his seat in election, joins Reform. Jenkins loses her seat at election, joins Reform.

Failures and grifting wankers to a fucking tee.

Please be kind today. The last two days were not. 😢

JD Vance is as evil as it gets.

Pure evil.

He is using the language and lies murderous dictators have used throughout history to justify their actions.

I keep thinking of the scene in the first season of The Handmaid's Tale when there's a demo and the protesters suddenly realise, to their terror and horror, that the cops are firing live rounds.
It felt like a warning during Trump 1.0.
It feels like it's just around the corner right now.

Tomorrow is my last day off work since 31 December. Drinking a few Proseccos tonight and finishing a few Christmas food treats. The festive season will be officially over. Always makes me a bit sad.

Off to get a haircut soon. Decided I need a new hairdresser and different person to do something. Don’t want a massive change but I just need new hands.

Immature but hilarious.
In "celebration" of thr Pepto Bismol ad now being on the radio, I took some popular radio-friendly songs and added the "Diarrhea" guy.

I’ve also been enjoying watching Billy and Dom on their food tours around the world. They’re both good together and seem like great mates.

Started watching Blue Lights tonight, the police drama. I always thought it was a comedy and that’s why I hadn’t seen it but I know now. I particularly like that it’s set in Belfast. I loved being there last year.

youtu.be/6f2s7OeZef8?...

Just watched this. I did like Stranger Things a lot but I watched the first episode of series 5 and decided I just didn’t care what happened. Like she says, too many characters and no clue what they’re all running about for. Don’t think I missed anything special.

That thing in coffee shops when the barista covers your cappuccino with chocolate before either asking or you get a chance to say no chocolate. Don’t want to fuss.

I’d love to see this. I thought the costumes were beautiful in the film. To see them up close.
Costumes and props from Guillermo del Toro’s ‘FRANKENSTEIN’ on display at the film’s new exhibit in LA.

Open to the public for this week only.

I really loved The Life of Chuck. Of course Stephen King is my favourite author and it was so him. Touching, sweet and beautifully acted.
