Note: i talk about Calvin a lot. Calvin is my currently 10 year old step-son. He is high-needs/low-functioning intellectually disabled, non-verbal, ARFID, diapered etc. He is a very special kid. We have victories and bad days.

It’s Tuesday, for all of us on vacation still.
There was a shooting at our local DMV last week. The shooter was psychotic (of the gang stalking variety) and I absolutely hate that "going DMV" has replaced "going postal" in our house vernacular.

I was attempting to call someone a Fairy Godfather, but my brain did a dyslexic spoonerism and called them Gary Fodgather and so I release this persona into the world for any lovely wish granters you need named.

I remembered to put the salt in today's bread and got two of the loaves nice and crusty (long first rise and water in the oven for bake = top rack crusty!)
AND the beef stew turned out delicious! Woo! Winter cooking win!

In other news, a South American bird of prey is hanging out near Wilmington's tall ship.
(The current best guess to how the yellow headed caracara got here is that it was a stowaway on one of the banana boats that regularly visit the First State's port.)

FYI that the House Ways & Means committee has a YouTube channel where you can watch meetings. They've been really healthcare focused lately. I haven't watched them but I'm intrigued by the 2+ hour meeting about Technology to help specifically Foster children???

Well...my brain read that as the year you were born and I was quite pleased to see "Bat out of Hell" was released that year (a week after I appeared, even!). Then I was bummed, cause I realized I mixed up the intent.

Just did grocery shopping and noticed that one of the reusable bags has a recipe on it. Then I thought about the flour bag dresses of the past....and now I wanna make a statement costume using plastic and reusable grocery bags. LoL
