Let me help you Sarah. “Do you accept that it’s simply not possible to go to an election seeking to govern as a coalition with different parties having different policies, on net zero or anything else that significant.” #730

I had to check the date on this and see if it was April 1. This is called a vacation, and most places give you this, paid, every year. www.fastcompany.com/91357784/wha...
What is a micro-retirement? Inside the latest Gen Z trend
Burned out and ladened with debt Gen-Z is getting a jump on retirement by going on short unpaid breaks from work: "micro-retirements."

I hope there is more to 4 Corners than this. Because this is a 3 minute ACA story.

I’d like to see a sentiment analysis of this.
This is quite an extraordinary table from Streem showing how many seats each party would have won if their share of seats matched their share of media coverage during the campaign.

You're not imagining it. The Murdoch press et al didn't shut up about Dutton. Lucky no-one was listening. #auspol

Being back in Australia I have resubscribed to The Australian after many years of happily not doing so. I’d forgotten what an awful collection of turgid nonsense it contains.

A great lesson for parties. You can’t parachute in a serial candidate if they have questions to answer about their previous campaigns elsewhere. They lost all but one booth in notionally Liberal electorate.

The election result is a fascinating repudiation of the politics of extremes - at least extremes in the Australian context. Definitely on the right, but even on the left. The agendas of News Corp, Seven West, Gina etc, all wiped away. But not so far as to the Greens. It’s like a political narrowing.

Oh wow the Brisbane City Council. If you’re running the country like a city council you’re in deep trouble.

THIS. SO MUCH THIS
Can we just spare a thought, too, for the official end of News Corp as a political force. No one outside an aging political class pays any attention to them.

What’s going on with the Greens? ABC isn’t giving them any seats yet.

If the ABC is going to let people on their election broadcast as “experts” maybe they should get the number of seats correct. It’s 151.

I don’t understand why we have to care about what Gina thinks on defence spending. Is she some sort of expert in the field and I missed it?

Come back Pauline, all is forgiven in preference play
In 139 of the 147 seats where One Nation is running a candidate, the Coalition will recommend that its voters put One Nation second.
