Gonna hopefully be able to work on my project soon! Life's like... tolerable, which feels weird and it's taking a while to get used to not being in survival mode, but it's a good sort of frustration, I guess.

On top of typical fantasy fare of monsters and undead, the harsh divide between magical and physical reality causes space to sort of bleed or tear in some places. These rifts grow in size and instability, but only a handful of people "tuned" to them can interact with them.

I don't have any specifics for locations yet, but I used to travel and hike a lot, and always ramble about some of the places I love, so I've got a stash of photos to reference. Malls, hotels, canyons, woods, all sorts of things. Palo Duro Canyon in particular'll be a huge source of inspiration.

I definitely don't want to detail out the specifics of how the setting works. The goal is to explain as much as is needed for things to not be confusing, but tbh there's a certain point where even my detail-oriented, permanently-lost-in-the-weeds self doesn't want to elaborate.

I like cranberry Mike's Harder and Cucumber Lime Gatorade seperately, so I made the legendary Flavor.
I felt it more than tasted it. It eventually started tasting like cucumber, but that's probably because that's what my mouth started tasting like. It was mostly just a tasteless citrus sting.

I feel exhausted and empty and like navigating social spaces might not even be worth it when I almost always have bad communication problems. I love people but I'm almost never understood, and it sucks.

Was gonna do a quick warm-up sketch but then I decided to fling ideas around and actually put the lil gear motif on her design like I wanted to do, uhh, for a few years now. Time is fake :V I guess it was still quick, just more than I thought I was gonna do.

Given how many things are based on stars and space, it probably should. I call the protag's dead god bud as a star golem, since he's a walking Sagittarius A* joke. Protag has a lance that he uses like a arrow because harhar arrow of time. He was a time god and Sagittarius is an archer. Hahaha.

Bwuh, very late to this, and I don't know where to even start with how much important stuff relies on the relationship between two+ organisms. The protag exists in a magicky symbiotic relationship with the remains of her dead god, and a lot of stuff stems from how "incorrect" this winds up being :V

Most of Earth's diseases and disorders exist and are complemented with magical ailments, curses, and adverse reactions to magic in general. Diagnoses are usually hard to figure out but treatment is fairly straightforward afterwards.

I haven't gone through in any significant detail, but a lot of tech is on a near-future level, though there's a handful of everyday convenience things that are commonly a science+magic hybrid.

Chemists are as they are irl, for the most part, and alchemists are similar but with more modern use for their craft; chemists are focused entirely on mundane materials, whereas alchemists have survived as a profession by trying to find ways to have the mundane and arcane interact in useful ways.

My setting's a sort of near-future modern fantasy, and while the same avenues of scientific research are available as irl (basic and higher education, etc.) there's a firm divide between science and the supernatural to the degree that physics become a suggestion with heavy magic use.
Fuck debt collectors. All the patience I normally have for other people just immediately inverts into an equal amount of anger. I don't understand (or rather I do, and I hate that I do) how people can decide buying debt and harassing people for money is a job. Lives ruined over something we made up.
