In the olden times, U.S. presidents tried to help America process hard sad events, with at least ritual nods to the solemnity of the occasion.

That would obviously be hard here, for a variety of reasons, beginning with it's his fault.

If you're ever in the Princeton, New Jersey area, I recommend the Princeton University Art Museum. It is definitely well worth a visit (and it's FREE).

Kinda proud to see my Greenland essay at the top of the Danish newspaper today.

Your assignment, should you choose to accept it (and you really should): Follow Sophie!
Hello everybody!

My name is Sophie and I’m an artist and conservationist. I had a wonderful community of friends and followers on Twitter, who flocked to Bluesky! Will you help me find them and reconnect? 😅

I’d also love recommendations of people to follow! ❤️

On the process of writing -

It's like being a sculptor. They take pieces of raw material like clay and mold it and shape it and turn it into art.

The writer takes thoughts and ideas and using words and puts them together to form sentences and paragraphs and then finally the completed work.
