My upper brain knows this is wrong, unbecoming and highly unpleasant.
But it doesn't rouse any kind of visceral upset in me. I've seen him act like a vulgar, ignorant bully too many times.
He's normalised this - at least for me. I didn't choose that and I don't want it, but there it is anyway.
