Black text which reads; "Time to go, Handsome!" she said with a wink to the baffled hunter. "What? Wait... aren't you going to finish her?" "Why would I?" "She might come after us!" "The upcoming dawn is a bigger problem to me. Especially with a distinct lack of castle to rest in. I've got to get out of here and get to safety before the sun's up, so I'm not going to finish her but hey... be my guest if you want to. I'm out of here!" She set off, passing through the destroyed door of the library and headed downstairs. Shortly after, Loren caught up. "Well, did you kill her?" "No," he said, thoughtfully. "I couldn't. I never thought I would learn about mercy and restraint from a vampire." "Ha! You're just full of surprises, aren't you? If I can overcome my monstrous nature, maybe you can too." "Is that warmth in your voice?" "Don't read too much into it. We have to hurry." "Alright. What's next?" "We're going to need transport. Let's get to the stables." They slipped out through a side entrance into a narrow stone walkway. Lucretia sped forward checking for threats and then beckoned Loren to follow. She crossed a paved courtyard over to the stables. The assault on the castle continued behind her. Once inside, she readied two black Friesian horses for travel. "Can your ready a cart?" She asked Loren. He nodded and got to work preparing the horses.
