Pretty sure this gives me carte blanche.

My daughter’s speech therapist went out of business because Medicaid reimbursement rates were too low. We do not have Medicaid. I’m going to keep posting this until people understand that when Medicaid gets cut *everyone* loses services.

Somehow the following two things are true:

- most actual scientists cannot read my work for free, and there are strict rules about when/whether I’m allowed to send a copy of my work to an interested fellow scientist
- Mark Zuckerberg can just steal it and use it to train his AI tools for profit.

Meta has used my work to train the AI it will use to make billions.

It was a great honor to have been invited to give a plenary address at the Asian Manual and Musculoskeletal Physical Therapist Congress in Cebu, Philippines. We were spoiled by our wonderful hosts, the Philippine Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. I'm so lucky to get to do what I do!

Throwback to this great summary about manual therapy (Rhon and Deyle, 2021): "Insisting that manual therapy is passive *betrays a lack of understanding* of the intervention. Assuming manual therapy is passive does little to determine its value as an intervention."

Most PTs have no idea of the amount of work that *thousands* of volunteers are doing for them every year around the country. Our profession has so many people who are good to the core. Come see what your state chapter is all about.

Happy new year!

Today we celebrate the 30-year anniversary of a meta-analysis of 22 placebo-controlled studies (Gam, 1995) which described the evidence for US for MSK disorders. NONE of them gave evidence that pain relief could be achieved by US.

Prepare students for their future, not our past.
