Aaron Judge is 31 years old. I’m sure his foundation is lovely but Miguel Cabrera is retiring and has spent two decades supporting the communities where he lives and his home country. Fans should not have a say in the Roberto Clemente Award. Miggy deserved to go out with this award.

The project I signed onto the month Covid arrived in the U.S. is finally past the reviewer stage with the publisher and the press has decided to drop the chapters of the anthology that were written about singular women. Mine is out. As is that of a historian I really admire. Bummer.

That deciding to buy banned books for your own personal shelves doesn't even come close to solving the harms done by book banning, and actually we'd rather you show up and speak out at your school board and library board meetings and also help elect better candidates - or run for office yourself.

That deciding to buy banned books for your own personal shelves doesn't even come close to solving the harms done by book banning, and actually we'd rather you show up and speak out at your school board and library board meetings and also help elect better candidates - or run for office yourself.
It isn’t a conspiracy theory to see the four best teams in baseball fall before the championship series and think maybe the schedule has something to do with it.

I am having trouble reading David Neiwert’s “The Age of Insurrection” not because it isn’t well written, it is, but because we are in this current state of existence in this country where reality seems to be an ever moving target that many can’t even glimpse.

Not all Braves fans are obnoxious. Believe me, the Chop isn’t a loyalty oath. Many of us are disgusted by it.
