There is large variation in the number of patients per #GP across England. 👩‍⚕️

Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB has the highest number of patients per GP (2,664) when accounting for local population need.

Does anyone have a more comprehensive understanding of NHS finances and the various calls on health budgets than @sallygainsbury.bsky.social? Latest analysis shows how all of the 'extra' money the NHS was given last year is simply eaten up by inflation, changing population needs and govt commitments

Almost 1 million people in the UK were estimated to be living with dementia in 2024, but just under 500k have a formal diagnosis. At 62%, women over 65 account for the majority of diagnoses.

GP has changed in recent yrs through a scheme incentivising practices to take on physios, physician associates, advanced practitioners + other roles. @rebeccabest.bsky.social & colleagues looked at experience of staff joining & supervision/support being offered to them. It's hugely variable.

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025.

This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.
