Heard the Miley Cyrus and David Byrne collaboration today, it's surprising and in a good way! Finding pop music amazing right now.

One of the interesting things I learned from the Girlband Forever doc was that UK interest rates went up twice in one day back in 1992. Also had no idea about All Saints early days as a threesome.

I am considering deleting my account on a certain other social network. I don't use it and it's in privacy mode. I don't want anyone to take it over, but at the same time, I don't want to lose the id in case things change. What have others done?

Check out this great map. Made me smile. Especially the posh dogs but!

These days I like to mix it up but back in my student data it was Chicken Bhuna. Now more into my Dosas and South Indian / Sri Lanka dishes.
Interested to find out Bluesky curry orders. What is your regular? Chicken Tikka Vindaloo, saag aloo, keema naan, pilau rice for me generally.

Well, clearly EES roll out is not causing the delays expected because if I search for EES, I get "buc-ees" or something. No idea what that is!

Oooo. Nemone has really set the cat among the pigeons by restricting 6 of the Best to Newcastle-upon-Tyne only. That rules out Sam Fender, Sting, Mark Knopfler, Neil Tennant (North Tyneside), JADE, Nadine Shah (South Tyneside), Bryan Ferry, Sunderland bands, plus Dubstar (Gateshead). The Shadows?
October 17, 2025 at 9:11 AM
Well done Sam. Thought CMAT probably would get it for a fantastic album, but it's been a great night for Tyneside and a boost for the local music scene.

Delighted to hear about the film Santosh. I read the story I think it was based on years ago (possibly when reading the work of a journalist nominated for the Thomson Foundation award for young journalist at the FPAs). I knew then it would make a great film. www.theguardian.com/film/2025/oc...

In case you were wondering, the Sumner that the lab is named after isn't Sting.

A tour of National Garden Festivals, but it would be very quick. There were only 5.
What policy themed visitor trail would you do upon retirement? I would pilgrimage to visit the 100 Rishi Sunak outdoor chess sets around the country. I genuinely think it would be one of those fun random things that would take me to places I’d never otherwise go to

Paul McCartney could provide a pre-written protest song for that.

Not really enjoying the breakbeats six of the best... I have just heard the worst Groove Armada, Leftfield and Basement Jaxx tracks and an average version of a Propellerheads track (there are better versions of it). Never liked Renegade Master either. Feel like I am stuck in 1999.

This is a fantastic idea!
because you retire and you've not got much to do. We should probably deliver a lot more active retirement training

Prudhoe probably. And any place names ending in wick or gham. Suspect many in the North East of England are currently getting very confused about how one of the BBC's politician journos is mispronouncing his own surname.
What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

Randomly ended up watching the film Rye Lane on BBC2 it's quite an entertaining rom com if like that kind of thing. Reminds me of the London-set rom cons at the turn of the Millennium.

Think last time I saw Crowded House on #totp it was Fall at Your Feet with a very disengaged Tim Finn who was almost out of the band at that point.
