Lovely and fresh on the North Devon coast today but also rather chilly.

Just before 10am at Westward Ho! this morning. Although it escaped the worst of Storm Claudia, tons of pots from the top of the pebble ridge have been carried over the top onto the footpath.

Be-dew-elled flower head of Verbena bonariensis this morning.
It’s such a great plant, outlasting almost all of the other late summer perennials.

It seems barely moments ago that I was revealing the cover for the first book in my new trilogy - and now I can post the second as the finalised MS for Isabel’s War wings its way to be typeset.
Publication is May 2026 and, already, the publisher has made it available for pre order. How time flies.

I think surf conditions on the North Devon coast this morning would best be described as messy.
The sunshine is lovely and warm but the wind is manic.
